TERMS & CONDITIONS

Madz Dezigns would like to thank you for your interest in our services. The following information sets out the terms and conditions of entering into a business agreement with Madz Dezigns. By viewing this site, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Enquiry Process

To start, Madz Dezigns requests that you complete the Costume Builder form on the website, or alternatively email us at info@madzdezigns.com.au. Please include a brief description of your costume needs, any pictures, fabric requests, your budget, the due date, and any other details of importance.

If possible, it is highly recommended by Madz Dezigns to make an appointment to discuss your design, fabric choices and sizing. We do not accept unscheduled drop-ins.

Design Confirmation

Madz Dezigns will put together a design sketch and the costume information following on from your meeting. This is an interpretation and record of the design, and it is therefore the customers responsibility to review all details prior to confirmation.

Any changes to the design must be identified via return email no later than 5 business days of receiving your sketch. Madz Dezigns will work with your suggestions and provide a reviewed version of your design and costume information to be approved.

We will confirm that your order can be completed by the indicated date. If this date is brought forward, an additional 10% surcharge will be incurred by the customer.

Madz Dezigns requires confirmation from the customer via email before any work is conducted.

Quote & Deposit

A quote will be included with your design sketch. Once we receive your approval, the manufacturing of your order will commence. NOTE – once fabric is purchased, the customer is liable for the cost.

This quote will vary depending on style adjustments, fabric changes, and/or embellishments requested by the customer after the initial design has been confirmed. Any changes may incur a cost.

A non-refundable deposit will be required to assist with the purchasing of fabrics and other expenses.

Solo & Duo Custom-Made Costumes

Prices for basic solo and duo costumes begin at AU$150.00 each. This price will vary depending on the design complexity, fabrics, and embellishments. This price does not include postage.

Face to face consultations is available for solo and duo costumes. This allows for correct measurement of the dancer/s to ensure the fit is correct.

For any customers who are unable to visit our facilities, you will be required to take your own measurements using our size chart. This must be received prior to receiving a quote for the order.

Madz Dezigns will provide you a design sketch, further costume information and a quote which must be confirmed by the customer before any work has commenced.

A non-refundable deposit of AU$100.00 per costume is required once the design has been approved to begin the work.

Madz Dezigns offers one complementary fitting service for any solo or duo costume orders. We will reach out to you via phone or email to make an appointment for a fitting. Any adjustments required must be discussed and approved in this meeting as well as confirmation on the placement of embellishments. Requests for any additional changes after this appointment, may incur an additional charge.

When your costume is ready, we will contact you to organise a time to collect and notify you of the final costs. The remaining balance must be paid prior to or on collection of your order.

Any changes to your costume after collection from Madz Dezigns, will incur a cost.

Troupe Costumes

Prices for troupe costumes begin at AU$100.00 per student. This price will vary depending on the design complexity and the fabric choices. This price does not include postage.

Madz Dezigns will provide you a design sketch, further costume information and a quote which must be confirmed by the customer.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total order is required once the design has been approved to cover fabric costs. All fabrics for troupe costumes will be ordered in bulk to minimise the risk of colour variations and cost. If the customer wishes to change the fabric after confirming the order and paying the deposit, they will be liable to pay for any fabric purchased.

Madz Dezigns will make one sample costume based on a common size recommended by the teacher. This costume can be tried on by your students and used as a guide for sizing others in the group.

Madz Dezigns does not take measurements for troupe costumes. This responsibility falls with the customer. Instead, we will provide you with a size chart and measurement sheet based on our costume sizes to be returned. Madz Dezigns will only accept sizing collated using the documents supplied. The turnaround time may be impacted, if these sizes are not returned in a timely manner.

Upon return of the sample, any changes to the costume must be discussed and approved in this meeting. Any damages or stains made to the costume will incur an additional cost at the customer’s expense.

If the customer wishes to change the design or fabric after receiving the sample, they will be required to pay for the costume at the price previously quoted.

Production of all troupe costumes will commence only once the sample has been returned and sizing for all students has been provided by the teacher.

When your costumes are ready, we will contact you to organise a time to collect and notify you of any outstanding costs. No costumes are to be collected until the final payment has been received in our account, or a remittance supplied.

Any changes to your costume after collection from Madz Dezigns, will incur a cost. This includes any alterations due to incorrect sizing.

Any additional costumes made once the order has been completed, will be classified as a solo costume, and therefore include an extra charge on top of the original cost.

Sizing & Measurements

Solo and duo costumes are custom-made, so we have the capability to measure the dancer/s when they arrive at their appointment to ensure the fit is correct.

Any customers ordering a solo or duo costume and is not able to visit our facilities, will be required to take their own measurements using a size chart supplied by Madz Dezigns.

Sizes for all other orders (troupe costumes and uniform) are measured using our size chart and measurement sheet. These are not customised per dancer.

The teacher is required to complete our measurement sheet and return to begin production. The turnaround time may be impacted, if these sizes are not returned in a timely manner.

If an alteration is required due to incorrect measurements, an additional cost will apply.

It is the teacher’s responsibility to ensure that all dancers are accounted for when returning sizes and measurements. Any additional student will be classified as a solo costume, and therefore incur an additional cost. It is important to note that Madz Dezigns cannot guarantee that we will have sufficient fabric to make additional costumes. If we are required to re-order, there may be a slight difference in colour to the rest of the troupe.

Uniforms

Uniforms are made to order and may not be available at the time you wish to purchase. These situations are at times beyond our control and Madz Dezigns will do our best to notify you when stock is once again available.

Styles may be discontinued at the discretion of the dance school and Madz Dezigns takes no responsibility if this is to arise.

Pricing

All prices shown are in Australian Dollars and include Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Madz Dezigns reserves the right to change prices and any information pertaining to this website without notice.

Postal charges for items are subject to weight, size, and destination.

Shipping within Australia

Madz Dezigns does not take responsibility for delays in delivery due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Online orders for delivery within Australia are dispatched via Australia Post either through Registered Post which can take 2-5 business days or Express Post which can take 1-2 business days subject to destination and availability of stock.

Note: Items are only shipped once payment has been confirmed. Once the items are shipped through Australia Post, Madz Dezigns is no longer responsible for the delivery.

You will receive an email once your order has been processed and shipped which will include a tracking number. If any orders shipped through Registered Post or Express Post are not delivered within the specified days indicated above, the order can be tracked online by visiting Australia Post website http://auspost.com.au/track/. If you are not successful in tracking your items, please contact us via email info@madzdezigns.com.au.

Cancellation, Refund & Exchange Policy

Solo, duo and troupe costumes are customised orders so there is no option to refund your deposit or exchange these goods. If you wish to cancel your order once confirmation and deposit has been received, please confirm by email and we will stop your order immediately.

Madz Dezigns only accepts refunds and exchanges for uniforms with the swing tag attached. If there is any evidence that the item has been worn or damaged, Madz Dezigns will not refund or exchange the item. Any sale items, discontinued stock or items purchased with a personalised name cannot be returned or exchanged.

If an item is listed at an incorrect price or with the incorrect information, Madz Dezigns reserves the right to cancel or refuse an order. Madz Dezigns will make all effort to contact the customer using the details provided to inform them of any error.

Images on this website are representative only and all fabric, colours and products are reproduced as accurately as possible. Subject to certain electronic devices, colours may vary in appearance. Madz Dezigns takes no responsibility for any variation in colour.

All materials on this website and the website itself is protected by copyrights and/or other intellectual property rights. The information and images are owned by Madz Dezigns and cannot be used by any other party without consent from Madz Dezigns. Any other use of materials on this website including reproduction for the purpose other than your personal non-commercial use, modification, distribution or republication, without the prior express written permission of Madz Dezigns is strictly prohibited.

Madz Dezigns is committed to protecting your privacy. Any information collected by Madz Dezigns from our customer is for the sole purpose of processing orders. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any third parties. All information is kept securely and is only held to assist you with any future purchases.

If any unauthorised charges appear on your credit card as a result of shopping with Madz Dezigns, you must contact and notify your financial institution in accordance with its reporting and procedures.

Madz Dezigns does not request its customers to confirm any bank account details via email. If you receive an email claiming to be from Madz Dezigns asking you to confirm any personal details, do not respond and email us at info@madzdezigns.com.au.
